The History of Foxes Riding School

The riding school was established in 1972 and has been in the Davey family since then. When the stables began we had 12 horses 12 stables and 2 staff. Now 37 years on, we have 35 school horses, 42 stables, 3 schools and 14 students! Whether you are young or old, or looking for a relaxing pastime or just want to improve your riding technique, whatever your reasons for taking up riding FOXES can provide the training you need.

We have a selection of horses and ponies suitable for all standards and ages of rider, but we are happy to arrange schooling and individual tuition on your own horse. It has long been recognised that horse riding provides valuable therapy and self confidence for many disabled people.

Foxes riding school is one of the centres for the Wirral and Chester Riding for the disabled and has special facilities for this purpose. At present, we cater for over 150 disabled riders of all ages.
