  • Everyone mounted must wear protective helmet manufactured to standards listed here. It must bear, either the BSI Kitemark, the SAI Global symbol or the official Snell label with number. The chin strap should be fastened at all times.
  • All juniors showing in hand must wear a protective helmet of the standard above
  • ON 7TH MAY ONWARDS ADULTS WILL ALSO HAVE TO WEAR PROTECTIVE HELMET AT ALL TIMES WHILST SHOWING However: I am aware that some breed societies have their own attire and hat wear so for these competitors they can wear their usual hat wear but must sign a disclaimer. For those who do not feel comfortable in a hat with harness can also sign a disclaimer. A competitor was hit on the head by her rearing horse  last year causing concussion and for her to go in an ambulance to hospital. This is why i would prefer all competitors to wear a protective hat. Disclaimer forms will be ready for the few that wont be wearing one.
